Partnering with FitOps

Having served 4 years with the Army's 101st Airborne Division, I really enjoy giving back to my fellow veterans. I recently had the opportunity to plug into a FitOps camp. From first boots on the ground I could feel it was something special. Not only did I want to be personally involved, I wanted Pride to be involved as well. FitOps is taking Veterans who have served their country with PRIDE and are teaching them to serve their communities through health and fitness. This mission is one that PRIDE is extremely proud and grateful to be a part of. I am excited to announce our partnership with The FitOps Foundation. I will be donating a portion of the proceeds in support of their efforts.

Our Mission

The FitOps Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the mission to inspire, educate, and empower veterans to fuel their purpose through fitness so they can serve others to do the same.

Our Story

With the knowledge that so many of his fellow veterans struggled with the military-to-civilian transition, Performix CEO and Army veteran, Matt Hesse decided to do something about it – and the FitOps Foundation was born. Understanding that most transition challenges are rooted in the profound loss of purpose and identity, Matt developed a vision to get veterans engaged, active, employed in a meaningful career, and most importantly, fueled by purpose once again. In 2016, FitOps launched a program to train, educate, and certify military veterans as personal trainers and connect them with high-quality career opportunities at gyms and fitness clubs across the country.

Our Approach

At FitOps, we combine a powerful blend of rigorous curriculum, world-class instructors, and a supportive team environment to develop the most elite personal trainers in the industry. Our cost-free program is available to military veterans, active-duty military, and reservists and builds upon the skills and leadership abilities they developed during their military service.

The course consists of 4 weeks of academic preparation and 3 weeks of hands-on training where the candidates live on-site, alongside their fellow veterans, completely immersed in the experience. In addition to the curriculum, veterans receive instruction in business management, branding, networking, and marketing to ensure that they are not only great trainers, but also successful business people.

Our Impact

To date, FitOps Foundation has graduated ten classes, training over 300 graduates that are serving as top performers at gyms and clubs in almost every state, operating as independent fitness professionals, and opening their own gyms. FitOps graduates have been featured in media outlets such as Muscle and Fitness Magazine and are being fast-tracked to supervisory positions more than those of any other training program available. Perhaps most importantly, these veterans have the FitOps alumni network which includes graduates and our top instructors - a family they can rely upon for support, mentorship, and motivation to be their absolute best.

Our Future

Today, we can only offer the program to a small percentage of applicants, having to turn away many deserving and motivated veterans. But, after two successful years, we are prepared to grow and extend our impact. FitOps is currently seeking investment to achieve to major program goals:

    • Increase the number of veterans we can help each
    • Establish a permanent campsite, drastically decreasing the amount needed to fund each
