Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons clarified butter or olive oil

  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Sautéing the Aromatics:

  1. Heat the clarified butter or olive oil in a medium saucepan until shimmering.

Toasting the Rice:

  1. Stir in the Pride White Rice, ensuring each grain is coated in the butter or oil.
  2. Cook, stirring frequently, until the rice is lightly browned, about 7 to 10 minutes.
Flavor Infusion:
  1. Add the minced garlic and lemon zest to the saucepan, stirring until fragrant for about 30 seconds.
  2. Pour in the lemon juice, broth, bay leaf, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil.
Simmering and Fluffing:
  1. Reduce the heat, cover the saucepan, and let the rice simmer until tender and all the liquid has been absorbed, typically 15 to 17 minutes.
  2. Remove the bay leaf and fluff the rice with a fork.

Serve the fluffy Lemon Rice Pilaf alongside your choice of protein, such as grilled chicken, salmon, or roasted vegetables. Enjoy the vibrant flavors and the delightful texture of Pride White Rice, bringing a touch of organic goodness to your meal.

Note: Pride White Rice is an exceptional organic long grain white rice, providing a fragrant and fluffy base for this lemon-infused pilaf. Adjust cooking times accordingly if using a different variety of rice.
